WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE COMMUNITY BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP?
CBP is a complete resource center providing training and support to those seeking to build successful small business in Fairfax County and beyond.

Created in 1995,the Partnership is a non-profit,501(c)(3)tax exempt organization. It was formed in response to an identified need for small business technical assistance and financing services, particularly to low-moderate income and disadvantaged individuals, including minorities, women and the disabled. While providing high quality training and counseling to all small businesses, the Partnership seeks to provide a financing alternative to benefit those unable to attract a commercial loan or other traditional source of funds.

 

WHAT ORGANIZATIONS HAVE COME TOGETHER TO FORM THE PARTNERSHIP?
Several key organizations within Fairfax County collaborated to form the Partnership and support the programsit offers.Each holds a seat on the board of directors,providing guidance and outreach into the communitiesit serves.They include:
  • The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
  • The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority
  • George Mason University
  • The Small Business Commission Northern Virginia Community College
  • The Northern Virginia Urban League
