On October 1, the Board of Directors of the Community Business Partnership inducted three new members into the CBP Hall of Fame.  Congratulations to:
 
Martin and Ruth Saenz of Signs By Saenz of Springfield, which is aSigns By Saenz Logonational award-Ruth and Martin Saenzwinning advertising company delivering high-impact marketing solutions to the federal government.  SBS currently has five employees and has recently won $100,000+ contracts with several military installations and a group of Hilton Hotels.   
 
 
 Frances Crespo
Frances Crespo of The Full Cup in Old Town Alexandria and Virginia The Full Cup logoBeach was also recognized.  The Full Cupis a full-service European-style bra fitting salon that specializes in lingerie and swimsuits for women who wear band sizes 28-48 and cup sizes A-K.  In business for five years, Frances and her husband Michael Dysart came to CBP to write their formal business plan to help them secure private partnership financing as they expand to stores in major cites throughout the U.S.
 
 Tate LindenTate Linden is the "Chief Thingnamer" of Stokefire Consulting Group, Inc. now based in Alexandria and a graduate Stokefire Logoof CBP's Business Incubation Center.  Stokefire is an industry leader in brand strategy work and name development within both non-profit and commercial spaces.  Stokefire has recently won business away from the world's largest branding firm and has its first Fortune 500 client. Some contracts for their branding services have been valued at over half a million dollars and Stokefire has had a huge impact on the world of branding.

Centreville Medical Arts PharmacyCentreville Medical Arts Pharmacy (CMAP) is an Independent Pharmacy located at 14260 Centreville Square, Centreville VA. Their Grand Opening will be held October 18,2008 from 10am-2pm and Dell Walters and Dr. Heron will be in attendance.  According to owner Shelia Dixon, they will offer free blood pressure screening, free glucose screenings and will be raffling off free glucose machines during the Grand Opening. The new pharmacy will offer patients and doctors a full line of professional pharmacy services that include prescription medication, compounded medication, veterinary medication and durable medical equipment.

Paula LinTwo decades of multi-award-winning experience in broadcast, online and print venues have finally led Montgomery County, MD's Paula Lin to her own company,The Definitive Enterprises: Voice & Word, LLC.  According to the September issue of Asian Fortune, Lin utilizes her vocal skills in voiceover, writing, coaching and copy editing. Lin was recently chosen to voice the English translations of female sound bites for GE's "Beijing's Pride" video about the 2008 Olympics in China . "Being of Chinese ancestry myself, I was thrilled to be even a little part of the latest Olympics, particularly in what I do for a liv ing," Lin said. 
 
 
Living Out Loud LogoLongtime client Andrea Howe, a rape survivor, created a program for survivors of sexual violence who are ready to laugh again. Within six months of its inception,Living Out Loud was given a prominent mention in SELF magazine and acquired by a national nonprofit.  Now Andrea has created a program called Hear Us Roar! which is a collection of auto-biographical stories that celebrate the vitality, strength, and power of women across the globe. Their goal is to collect stories from 100 women, publish them in a book by the end of the year, and raise $100,000 from book sales to be donated to charity by June 2009.  Click here for more information.
