Are you looking for funding for your Business?  Would a microloan of $35,000 help you start or expand your business?  The Business Finance center has direct access to 3 distinct loan programs, please click on our logo for more information.  In addition to making loans to small businesses, the Business Finance Center counsels clients on understanding and projecting cash flow and managing the financial health of a small business. If you are having a hard time getting financing from a Bank, call the Business Finance Center to find out about alternative funding options.  


The Business Finance Center is a Community Business Partnership program to assist existing and potential small business owners with understanding and managing the financial aspects of their business and to provide funding to small businesses.

Direct Lending

 The Business Finance Center has two loan programs:

  • The HUD Microloan Program                     

  • The Hispanic Equipment Loan

 

 

WHAT IS THE MICRO- LOAN PROGRAM?

The Micro- Loan Program funds businesses located in Fairfax County that are owned by low moderate income individuals, create jobs for low moderate individuals or give services to low moderate individuals. It provides direct loans from $3,500.00 to $35,000.00 to qualifying applicants.   See the HUD microloan page for more details.


WHAT IS THE HISPANIC EQUIPMENT LOAN?

The Hispanic Equipment loan provides direct loans of $2,000 to $10,000, for equipment purchase, to hispanic owned businesses in the Washington Metropolitan area. No business plan is required for this loan and it has a five day turnaround.  See the Hispanic loan page for more details.

 

Indirect Lending


CBP is also a technical assistance provider for the SBA's Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) loan. This loan has a one page application, a quick turnaround time and does not require a business plan or collateral.  See the SOHO page for more details.

These three financial programs give the Center the flexibility to help clients get the specific funding they need for their business.  The Center also offers individual counseling to help clients review financial statements, understand and project cash flow, package small business loan applications, and manage the financial health of a small business.  Contact the Business Finance Center Director for an appointment ONLY AFTER you have taken the Small Business Resources Class and the Options for Funding your Business class.
